Josh Brener was born as Joshua M. Brener [1]The Crimson on Monday, October 1, 1984 (age 36 years; as of 2020), in Houston, Texas. He did his schooling at Bellaire High School, Bellaire, Texas. Thereafter, he graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was the president of Hasty Pudding Theatricals, a theatrical organization of students of Harvard University. Hasty Pudding Theatricals is where Josh refined his improv and comedy skills. After completing his formal education, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

Thereafter, he appeared in various shows like Glory Daze (2010), House of Lies (2012), Workaholics (2013), etc. In 2013, she played the recurring role of Dale in the American television sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
