Priyanshu Painyuli was born on Monday, 29 August 1988  (age 32 years; as of 2020), and he hails from Bangalore, India. He did his schooling from Army Public School, Bangalore, and then he went on to pursue his graduation from SAE Institute, Bangalore. In 2010, Priyanshu shifted from Bangalore to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting.

Career

As a Theatre Artist

Priyanshu Painyuli began his acting career as a theatre artist. The first full-length play that he was a part of was Mahua (2012) in which he played the role of Bibal. Later, in the same year, he became a part of the play Taj Express – The Musical which toured extensively around the world to perform.

Thereafter, he performed in several other plays, such as Saraswati’s way, Internal Affairs, A friend’s Story, etc.

Short Films

After refining his acting skills as a theatre artist, in 2012, he made his debut at short films with ‘Bawdi’ in which he played of Vishnu.

Later, he appeared in various short films, like Love at First Sight (2017), A Monsoon Date (2018), Line of Duty (2019), etc.

OTT/ Web Series

In 2015, he made his digital debut with the show Bang Baaja Baaraat in which he played the role of Wasim Shaikh.

Later, he appeared in the series Welcome to Mahabaleshwar (2016) and Soulmates (2019). In 2020, he rose to fame when he starred in Netflix’s crime action thriller series Mirzapur 2 in which he played the role of Robin Agarwa.

Film

In 2016, Priyanshu Painyuli made his Bollywood debut with the movie Rock on 2 in which he played the role of Jiah’s Brother.

In 2018, he appeared in the movies, Once Again, and High Jack. Later, in the same year, he came into limelight when he played the role of  Bhavesh Joshi in the film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. Thereafter, in 2019, he appeared in Netflix’s Upstarts. In 2020, he made his Hollywood debut with the movie Extraction as Amir Asif alongside Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda.
