Pratik Gandhi got married to his girlfriend Bhamini Oza in 2009. Bhamini is an actress too, and they first met in a theatre play in which Pratik was one of the actors. Talking about his wife, Pratik Gandhi said in an interview,
First time I met Bhamini after my theatre play. It was the weirdest play of my life. Because in it play, I was enact 45 minutes mute play. Just think, 45 minutes and no words! but it’s one of the best play I’ve ever performed. Then Bhamini came backstage to meet the actors. I saw her there. Several jugaads, months and rejection later, I finally managed to convince her to meet for coffee.”
In 2014, the couple was blessed with a daughter Miraya.
Career
After completing his graduation, he started working as an engineer in Reliance Industries. He used to work in the day and work in theatres at the night. He has also worked with National Productivity Council in Satara, Pune. In an interview, he talked about his initial days as a theatre artist, he said,
I would leave for work at 7 am, reach office at around 9, give in my 110% all day and leave at around 6 pm. I would then head straight to the gym, and then rehearse for plays till late night. No matter how difficult it was I wanted to prove my point – the point of managing the best of both worlds.”
He debuted as a theatre artist in the Gujarati play ‘Aa Paar Ke Pele Paar’ (2005) in which he played the character of Ravikant Deewan. He has acted in many superhit Gujarati theatre plays like ‘Apurva Avsar’ (2007), ‘Saat Tari Akvees part 1’ (2008), ‘Bohot Nachyo Gopal’ (2012), ‘Hu Chandrakant Bakshi’ (2013), ‘Master Madam’ (2014), and ‘Sir Sir Sarla’ (2018).
In 2006, he debuted as an actor in the English film ‘Yours Emotionally’ in which he played the role of Mani. In 2007, he appeared in the English film ’68 Pages.’ He has acted in various Gujarati films including ‘Bey Yaar’ (2014), ‘Wrong Side Raju’ (2016), ‘Love Ni Bhavai’ (2017), ‘Dhunki’ (2019), and ‘Aavartan’ (2020).
He has played supporting roles in Hindi films like ‘Loveyatri’ (2018) and ‘Mitron’ (2018). In 2020, he was roped in the Hindi film ‘Ravan Leela’ to play the lead role in the film.
He gained immense popularity with the SonyLIV web series ‘Scam 1992’ (2020).
