Prashansa Sharma was born on 31st July, and she hails from Jhumri Telaiya in Jharkhand. She did her schooling from Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, and then she went on to pursue her graduation from Hindu College, Delhi University. Thereafter, she pursued a course in theatre and acting from Drama School, Mumbai. She has also studied in the Prague Film School, Czech Republic. In 2015, Prashansa Sharma made her digital debut with a cameo appearance on the show Baked in which she played the role of an Apartment Girl.

Thereafter, in 2017, she appeared in the web series Office vs. Office in which she played the role of a model. In 2018, she appeared in Mirzapur, an action crime thriller web television series on Amazon Prime Video. She played the role of Radhiya in Mirzapur, the maid at Tripathi Kothi, who was raped by Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur Season 1 and ravaged by his grandad in Mirzapur 2.
Later, she appeared in various other series like Dosti Ka Naya Maidan (2020), Four More Shots Please (2020), Illegal – Justice, Out of Order (2020).
