Pramod Pathak is an Indian actor who is best known for appearing in the Bollywood films Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), and Raees (2017), and Amazon Prime series Mirzapur (Season 1 & 2).

Pramod Pathak was born on 23 December, and he hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his formal education in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Thereafter, he returned to Kanpur and engaged in his family business for a year. Later, he got disinterested and went to Mumbai to seek a job opportunity. In Mumbai, for a year, he worked in a market research company situated in Churchgate, South Mumbai. In 1996, he joined a theatre group in Mumbai and decided to pursue a career in acting.

Career
While working in a market research company in Churchgate, Mumbai, Pramod Pathak used to spend his spare time watching various films and dramas. Eventually, he grew an interest in the entertainment industry, and he decided to pursue a career in acting. In 1996, he joined a theatre group in Mumbai, and he began his acting career as a theatre artist.
Film
In 1980, Pramod made his Bollywood debut with a brief cameo appearance in the film Thodisi Bewafaii. Thereafter, he made short appearances in several Bollywood films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002), Mumbai Cutting (2008), Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010) etc. In 2012, he came into the spotlight with the crime film series ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in which he played the role of Sultana Daku.
Later, he appeared in various films like John Day (2013), City Lights (2014), Raees(2017), etc.
Television
In 2016, he made his television debut with the Star Plus’ show ‘P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke’ in which he played the role Duggal.
OTT/ Web Series
In 2017, he made his digital debut with the show InMates in which he played the role of Janet’s husband.
In 2020, he was one of the protagonists on the show Raktanchal in which he played the role of Tripurari. In 2018, Pramod Pathak shot to fame with the Amazon Prime series ‘Mirzapur’ in which he played the role of JP Yadav.
