Kartik Tyagi was born on Sunday, 8 November 2020 (age 20 years; as of 2020), in Dhanaura village in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Kartik studied at LN Public School, Hapur, but he was least interested in studies. Kartik’s father’s financial condition was not good, and also, he did not want his son to become a farmer like him. After pondering on various things, Kartik’s father admitted his 11-years-old son in the City Vocational Cricket Academy in Meerut. After experimenting in various cricket departments for a few months, Tyagi realised his potential in fast bowling. With the passage of time, his performance kept improving, and he kept capitalising on the opportunities that came his way.

Family
Kartik Tyagi comes from a low-income agricultural family. His father’s name is Yogendra Tyagi while his mother’s name is Nandini. Kartik’s father, Yogendra Tyagi, was also a budding sportsperson in his young days and was passionate about shooting ball; however, he could not pursue the sport owing to the lack of family support. While Kartik Tyagi gave his 100 percent on the field, his father gave his 100 percent off the field to provide Kartik with fine training facilities. Himself a farmer, Yogendra never let his son Kartik step in the fields.

Career
Kartik Tyagi was selected to play for the Uttar Pradesh Under-14s Cricket Team at the age of 13, followed by a selection in the Uttar Pradesh Under 16s Cricket Team. He took 50 wickets in his debut under-16 season. Impressed by his performance, selectors of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team directly included him in the senior team for the Ranji Trophy even before selecting him on the under-19 side. On 6 October 2017, at a tender age of 16 years, Kartik played his first Ranji Trophy match for Uttar Pradesh (UP) against Railways at Lucknow.
