Brahma Mishra was born as Bramhaswaroop Mishra [1]Daily Express, and he hails from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Brahma pursued his graduation from Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Bhopal. Thereafter, he did a two-year course in film and television from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. [2]YouTube In 2009, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting.

In 2013, Brahma Mishra made his Bollywood debut with the film Chor-Chor Super Chor in which he played the role Vava.

In 2015, he appeared in  Manjhi: The Mountain Man as Bhura. Thereafter, he appeared in Dangal (2016) Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Super 30 (2019) etc. Later, in 2019, played the role of ‘Khudadad,’ an iconic character who became a martyr while serving water to the enemies in the movie ‘Kesari.’

Brahma Mishra made his digital debut with a brief cameo appearance in the show Not Fit (2015).

  • Chor-Chor Super Chor (2013) was directed by K. Rajesh who was Brahma’s senior at the Film Institute. While sharing the memories of his debut movie, Brahma said,

    One day he called me, handed over the script, and said, read it and tell me if you can see yourself playing any of the characters? I said that the character of ‘Vava’ is like me somewhere and he offered me that role in the film.”

  • In 2003, while pursuing his graduation, Brahma expressed his desire to become an actor to his professor  Dr. Vijay Bahadur who was a friend of Alakhnandan, a famous theatre artist. Dr. Vijay Bahadur led Brahma to Alakhnandan who taught him theatrical skills. In an interview, he said,

    The foundation of my acting was laid through theatre and my first Guru was Alkhanandan Ji. I worked with him in many plays on stage and backstage.”
