In 2004, Michalka played the role of Keely Teslow in Phil of the Future. She also appeared in the MTV film Super Sweet 16: The Movie based on the MTV series My Super Sweet 16. In 2009, she played the role of Charlotte Barnes in Bandslam. In 2010, The CW announced Michalka played the main role of Marti Perkins in the drama series Hellcats.

Michalka played the role of Brooke on the sitcom Two and a Half Men. Since 2015, Michalka has had a recurring role in the series iZombie. In 2016, she was announced as a cast member for the comedy film The Lears.

Music Career:

In 2004, Michalka and her sister, AJ, formed the musical duo Aly & AJ. They delivered their first collection, Into the Rush, on August 16, 2005. They delivered an occasion collection, Acoustic Hearts of Winter, highlighting cover tunes and created two unique melodies. In 2007, their third collection, Insomniatic, was delivered, including the Billboard top 20 hit single, “Potential Breakup Song”. In the mid-year of 2013, they got back with new music, delivering their first single, “Hothouse”, on July 8, 2013. In 2016, they affirmed intends to deliver new music for an impending studio collection. On June 2, 2017, they reported another single, named “Take Me”. It fills in as the lead single from their EP, wanted to be delivered on July 14, 2017.
